WATERFALL
We have created a water autonomy system with channels on our land that capture rainwater and pour it into three large reservoirs.
The water is collected through pipes and transferred to a filtering center to eliminate impurities, such as soil and leaves. The filtered water is then stored in a tank. From here the water is naturally sanitized and used for our business needs such as:
- disinfection of structures with end-of-cycle washing
- irrigation of our fields
- watering of the animals. The water, made drinkable, is supplied through drip drinkers with an anti-waste device.
SOIL
We do not use chemical fertilizers and pesticides , but we nourish our land with the by-products of our production (animal litter at the end of the cycle and the prunings of our olive trees).
We create a 100% natural compost by chopping the by-products and letting them mature for 220 days. The compost is then distributed on our land, enriching it with natural organic matter.
Our lands are enriched with alfalfa , lupinella, clover, ryegrass. Razzolino chicken is free to feed on organic land , rich in biodiversity , plant essences, grasses, legumes, vitamins, omega 3, omega 6, many other antioxidant and natural substances useful for its health, for ours and for that of our children.
AIR
We have eliminated the level of CO2 from combustion for heating the structures thanks to a system that produces heat from hot water. The temperature is set according to the stage of development of the animal.
The even distribution of heat promotes the animals' freedom of movement throughout the space available to them.
The opening side walls allow for natural air exchange and a constantly dry litter . We have also reduced the concentration of ammonia thanks to continuous repacking.
